I have been growing organic lavender plants for a while because I love the smell of their flowers and the buzz of bees enjoying the sweetness of their nectar. This was the first summer I decided to harvest these purple flowers, gather them in a basket, and prepare them for my new little sewing project. I took my time, enjoying the smell of these lovely flowers permeating the room, picking some fabrics, setting my sewing machine, and making a few bags per day to relax and clear my mind. I have cut some rectangular pieces of fabric, then ironed and folded them into squares. I added a handful of flowers and some cotton to the folded squares. I sewed all around the three free sides of the fabric and my scented lavender bags were done! Now they are ready to be dived into wardrobe drawers to keep that vibrant and fresh lavender smell among clothing through all the year! Enjoy!
