This is a wall painting project I have developed this past winter for the 372d Training Squadron Detachment 24.

After a pencil sketch on the wall, the three patches have been painted with acrylic colors. For a uniform result, two to three coats were needed according to the different hue transparencies. The whole project has been completed with different size brushes, and a thin layer of water based coating on the finished patches as protection.

The result brought lots of positive feedback and a Spouse of the Year 2013 reward! I have also been asked to reproduce one of these patches on wooden board as a departure gift for a squadron member: a perfect solution for a portable patch to carry wherever duty calls.
